Much to our children's dismay, we must sell our horse Spirit. We also have equipment to sell, too, such as a 17" western saddle ($300) and a 17" barrel racing saddle $350. 4yr old Arabian Mare Sorrel in color/with a star, about 14.2hh tall. She is Green Broke to ride. Has only been ridden on gravel and open pastures with large hills so far does fine, no buck or rear. She turns both ways great and climbs and goes down hills great in and out of ditches and vehicles havent bothered her yet. Gets along with other horses. Easy to catch, UTD on shots and Worming. In great health. Started to break her to ride, shes doing great, everything weve asked so far unfortunately running out of time with harvest on its way. Doctor JB Mac aka Mac is a quiet young GREEN broke sorrel gelding. He has had many hrs standing tied. He is good at loading, has had his feet done 3 times, UTD on shots, and worming. I have had the saddle on a few times, been on and rode him 3 times. Rode in a round pen at a walk, trot and back up. Has been rode bareback all three times. Has been led down the greavel road, rode up and down our ditch, and farm. He is easy to catch, very loving! My 3 yr old nephew has been around him many times and he is quiet and gentle. IS NOT FOR BEGGINERS! He would make a good 4-H project. Did have alot of time spent with him when he was younger. The only reason he is for sale is I got deployed and didn't have time to finish him, otherwise I would not sell him. He was measured by my mom last week at 16 hands. He turns 3 next april 2010. He is already growing out, so would be a big beautiful gelding. He did however get a big cut on his right rear leg, it has been taking care of and is healing up wonderfully, just will be a scar. I purchased this mare in Aug. I was told that she was "kid broke" but I would call her "green broke" I think they used her to lead kids around on and not much else. She will saddle up well, take the bit OK, farrier had issues with back hooves, she is top mare in our herd of three. I and my husband have been on her with no buck but she does not know what to do. The lady I bought her from said she has had two foals. I have four little kids that would like to ride but she needs someone with experience. This pony is 14 hands and the full body photos do not do him justice, he is a PRETTY boy. If the close-up photo intrigues you, please COME SEE HIM!!! Sundancer Jordan (or Sunny "D") is a beautiful red roan with two blue eyes, a white strip and a snip, as well as white markings on three feet. We were told when we got him that his momma was a "Mustang" and his daddy was a "Paint", that is the extent of our knowledge of his background. This is the horse that my daughter hoped to start on when she moved up from the ponies she has been around since she was very small. He was ridden by a trainer for 30+ days and came back quiet and easy to ride. No buck and fairly calm and collected. A little bit head strong. Unfortunately, as he has been home for a few months, without daily work, his ground manners have not stayed good enough for our "shorter" 11 year old "inexperienced HORSE woman" to handle from the ground. I believe that any experienced horse family could get him on the right track within a short amount of time. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to help my daughter with him and her confidence is dwindling trying to manage him from the ground. She has no problem riding him, but getting him to that point on her own is the problem. She has agreed to step down to a "Bigger Pony" until her HORSE CONFIDENCE improves, so "Sunny D" needs to find a new home. Please talk to your horse friends and help us find "Sunny D" the perfect home. Bailey needs to be assured that whoever takes him will make him into something wonderful so that she can feel good about letting him go. "Sterling" is an older pony gelding. Probably 10 years old or so, we did not raise him, so we cannot guarantee the age, but he's a good guy who needs a great home! He did great on the pony rides, but is a shy boy, who doesn't fare well with our large group of gelding ponies. Not only does he have a hard time getting his fair share at feeding time, but he gets into fights with the other "boys" in the trailer on the way to rides. He does well with the mares or by himself, doesn't start fights, but gets "picked on" A LOT! He would be a perfect gentleman for someone to lead kids on, or for a stronger medium-sized kid to ride by themselves. Unlike most of the ponies we have for sale, we think he may have been ridden out before we had him. Most of our ponies do not know about a bit/bridle, but he seems to have had one in before, and does fairly well for my daughter. He doesn't neck rein, but he does plow rein fairly well. He likes to move out and would be lots of fun for a mid-sized child who wasn't afraid to move along at a pretty good pace. Please call or e-mail with any questions.
